Region of called number

When the option is enabled, the system determines the geographical location of the called subscriber and automatically routes calls through this region. For example, if numbers from Berlin and Vienna are connected to the virtual PBX, when calling from Berlin to Vienna, the Vienna number will be used.

Advantages:

  • The company employee's number will be identified as a local city number by the called subscriber, thereby increasing the likelihood that the client will pick up the phone.
  • The option simultaneously allows to increase client trust and optimize the cost of the call.

How to dial the number

Simply dial the client's number on your phone. The system will automatically choose the phone number from the numbers You have connected to VPBX that is more profitable to make the call.

With the “Region of called number” option enabled, routing is performed as follows:

  

The “Region of called number” option must be enabled on the phone numbers that will be used for routing and in subscriber settings.

  1. In the ”Virtual PBX” section, select “Settings” >> “Routing” >> “DID numbers” >> tab ”Outbound routing”. 

  2. Move the “Region of called number” slider to the right.

  3. In the ”Virtual PBX” section, select “Settings” >> “Dial plan” >> “Extension numbers” >> tab ”Outbound routing”. 

  4. Move the «Auto-replace by "Region of called number"» slider to the right.
