Music on hold

Modified on Wed, 26 Jun at 3:32 PM

A Virtual PBX allows you to choose a melody that will be played to the calling subscriber (customer) when placing the call on hold and while waiting in the queue. Music on hold is set by uploading media files to the system.

*By default, queue music is enabled in the Virtual PBX. You can change it and upload your own.

To upload music in the queue and on hold in the system, go to the section Virtual PBX >> tab Settings >> menu on the left Audio files >> Music on hold.

  1. Click the Add button.

  2. Click the button with four points and select the audio file.

A standard Windows dialog box will open to select a file on your computer. Select a file.

    Note:

The format of the audio file to upload should be WAV 16 kHz 8 bit or MP3 128 kbit bitrate.

  3. Click the Save button.

After uploading the file, you can listen to it by clicking the play button.

The uploaded audio file will be added to the system and will appear in the list of audio files. If it can also be used for on-hold call music, check the box next to Music on hold and click the Save button.

Now, the uploaded music file will be available when setting up the queue.
