Trunk for external PBX

"Trunk for external PBX" is a unified internal numbering system with the ability to switch between them.

To create it, you need to combine the "Kompaas" company's Virtual PBX and an external PBX within the trunk. In this case, both manually entered transfers during a call and dialing an internal number during an incoming call will work even while in the interactive voice menu.

Before configuring the option, you need to order at least one phone number to the VPBX. For more details see "How to order a phone number".

The "Trunk for external PBX" option must also be active. For more details see "How to activate "Trunk for external PBX".

It is configured and added in the "VPBX" section >> "Settings" tab >> "Trunk for external PBX" with the "Add" button.
Configurable parameters:
1. Trunk Name - the nominal name of the trunk for distinguishing it from others if there are multiple trunks.
2. Mask - use a common system of extension numbers and differentiate them between the two PBXs. The symbol "X" is used for this purpose.
3. IP Address - specify the IP address of the external PBX.
4. Outgoing Number - outgoing calls will go through this number if an extension registered on the external PBX wants to make a call through our VPBX.
The added trunk for the external PBX is available for editing in the tabs below - "Trunk Settings" and "Mask". a) "Trunk Settings" tab: Generating a login and password occurs when the checkbox is checked and the "Save" button is pressed. The eye-shaped button shows the password.
b) "Mask" tab: The white plus button in a blue square adds a mask. "2XXX" means that any dialed extension starting with "2" will be routed to the numbering of the external PBX. In this example, the numbering of the external PBX must start with "2". If "2XXX." is used (with a period at the end), it will work for any length of extensions. Any number of "X" and any digits before it can be combined.
