Modified on Mon, 19 May at 4:06 PM

SIP trunk is a technology for transmitting voice calls and multimedia over the internet using the SIP (Session Initiation Protocol) protocol. It replaces traditional telephone lines, reducing costs and increasing communication flexibility.

SIP trunk allows you to:

  1. Connect to a provider — you get virtual telephone lines from a SIP provider.
  2. Equipment setup — SIP trunk connects to IP PBX, SIP gateway, or softphones.
  3. Make calls — voice data is transmitted over the internet, providing communication with subscribers.

Benefits of SIP trunk:

Cost savings — reduces communication costs, especially for international calls.Flexibility — easily scalable without laying new lines.Mobility — make calls from anywhere via internet.
